Blue Amber
The Blue Amber is our featured gemstone this season, it is an extremely rare semi-precious stone, created from the fossilisation of plant-based resins. Incredibly this dark brown transparent stone becomes blue in contact with sun light! Gemology has used this extraordinary property within four special Blue Amber skin care products, answering to the fundamental needs of our skin for men and women.
"In my search of new precious minerals with proved cosmetic properties, I discovered a rare and seductive precious stone, the Blue Amber. I have asked our Gemology laboratory scientists to capture the essence of the stone’s actives and to apply them for use in this essential skin care product line." ... Chrystelle Lannoy ( Gemology Founder )

Amethyste
Amethyst, a fine, purple-coloured stone, is a variety of purple quartz composed primarily of silicon.
Our body’s silicon content decreases irreversibly over time, which stimulates ageing. The body’s loss of silicon leads to the gradual alteration of collagen and elastin fibers, which ages the skin. As skin collagen declines, the cutaneous tissues thin considerably.
Over time, the capillary tissues gradually thicken, reducing the skin’s ability to retain nutrients and water. The skin gradually loses firmness and radiance; surface and deep wrinkles form...
Supplementary silicon, which naturally stimulates collagen synthesis, helps to regenerate skin tissue and slow the aging process. Amethyst also contains iron.
Diamond
Transparent to semi-opaque diamonds are special stones with exceptional properties, which stem from their unique cubic crystalline structure with centered faces. They feature a very high light reflection index, which give them their characteristic "adamantine" sparkle.
Gemology is the first cosmetics brand to use the diamond for their "soft focus" power: microscopic diamond particles nest inside wrinkles and visibly soften skin by reflecting light.
Citrine
Citrine is a yellow gemstone naturally rich in silicon.
Silicon is consistently found in the main elements that make up the extracellular matrix (collagen, elastin, glycosaminoglycans) and is indispensable to the body’s functions.
Silicon helps with collagen synthesis, calcium binding and assimilation, and remineralization.
Silicon improves skin and tissue elasticity and promotes the binding of calcium and magnesium in the body. Citrine also contains iron.
Jade
Green-colored jade is naturally rich in sodium. Sodium is the primary element of our blood and extracellular body fluids. It is essential to balancing body water.
The sodium-potassium balance is essential, because potassium in intracellular water regulates the rate of liquid flow and pH within cells.
Sodium helps maintain the body's water balance and provides moisture to the cells. It helps restore structure and elasticity to the tissues. Jade also contains iron.
Red Jasper
Red jasper is a red sedimentary stone rich in silicon.
Our body's silicon content decreases irreversibly over time, which stimulates aging.
Lapis-Lazuli
Lapis lazuli is an opaque, metamorphic rock that ranges from azure to ultramarine in color and is rich in sulfur. In the body, sulfur takes the form of sulfates, which make up large molecules such as amino acids. It is an essential component of many proteins, some vitamins, and other nutrients.
It helps configure proteins and bridges molecules, linking them so that they remain cohesive. It is generally used in cosmetology on dry, sensitive skin. Its sulfur content helps the body neutralize and eliminate toxins, soften the skin and stimulate sebum production. Lapis lazuli also contains silicon and sodium.
